Pride About
The Pride takes a long hard look at lions. Bruce, the figurehead of the family has just chosen a savannah theme for his new kitchen. Bruce is weighed down by his impressive mane and is beginning to struggle with the pressure of the renovations and taking care of his pride.
Bruce knows his time is limited, since James, his stronger, more handsome neighbour, has been peering through the windows admiring the family and the mod cons. Such is the life of a lion. The Pride borrows from the drama of a lion's life mapping their social patterns onto human characters. Its a dark comedy that looks at peoples readiness to forgive, even in the face of gross moral misconduct.
The Pride stays true to Side Pony Productions signature style - black comedy at its darkest - borrowing from the drama of a lions life, mapping their social patterns onto human characters dressed like lions.
Pride Press Quotes
Surreal, whimsical and joyous. The Pride is all three...The whole is inventive and energetic and possibly the funniest show I've seen in ages.

"The Pride is smart, funny and terrifically performed. It has a strong personality behind it and a primal, sinister spirit haunting its comedic heart."
